Established on the auspicious day of Dassera of 1972 – October 18th. Aakar was formed to give a platform to aspirations of artists, artisans and designers. It provided a hitherto unavailable forum for the direct interaction between the Exhibitors and the appreciating public – the customers and patrons.

Aakar is proud to have been the launch pad in Mumbai for numerous desginers who are now well extablished.

Aakar completed its silver jubilee in 1997.

Today exhibitors from around the country are displaying and selling their creations at Aakar to visitors and discerning patrons (buyers) from around the world many of them regular customers.

Aakar is now one of the most popular Art Gallery in Mumbai. It has transparent non-discriminatory dealings and comfortable high end ambiance with modern facilities, extraordinary location and prominent display area.
